Dr Rakhee Kalita Moral, Associate Professor, carried out a project titled "Where Women Make Another Tribe (Humanities Across Borders Programme) funded by IIAS, Leiden University, The Netherlands and Andrew Mallon Foundation, USA.

Dr Rakhee Kalita Moral, Associate Professor, was awarded the WISCOMP Saahas Prerna Award 2020 by Women in Security, Conflict and Management of Peace, New Delhi.

Dr Sanghamitra Sadhu, Assistant Professor, was a fellow at Indian Institute of Advanced Studies from from 2017 to 2019.

Dr Sanghamitra Sadhu was awarded a Visiting Research Fellowship at the Tagore Centre for Global Thought in India Institute, King’s College, London, UK in 2015  (January-April) for her research on life-writing in modern India.

Dr Arpana Nath was awarded the Best Faculty Award in 2018.

Siddhanta Bora published his first novel The Rig Chronicles: The Secret of the Sudarshan in 2021.

Siddhanta Bora secured 2nd prize in Quiz Competition in the 36th Inter University North East Zone Youth Festival hosted by USTM Meghalaya from Jan 4, 2023 to Jan 8, 2023, the 2nd position in Consilium, Inter Literary Quiz Competition held at Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankardeva Viswavidyala on May 5, 2023, and the second position in the Quiz Competition organized by Tarun Asom Sangha, Tezpur on April 7, 2023. 

Thaijon Maibangsa won the first prize in Western Instrumental (Solo Event) in the 36th Inter University North East Zonal Youth Festival organized by USTM from Jan 4 to Jan 8, 2023, and the third prize in Western Instrumental (Solo Event) in the 36th Inter University National Youth Festival organized by Jain University from Feb 24 to Feb 28, 2023.

UG Batch (2021-2024)

Srutartha Bhagawati got the consolation prize in an online poem writing competition organized by Student's Union, Suren Das College.

Justina Borgohain won the Gold Medal in East Zone AIU Lawn Tennis Women Game (2021), the Gold Medal in Assam Youth Olympics (2022), first position in Women's Lawn Tennis (2022).

Tuhinkanya Borah won the second prize in 36th Inter University North East Zone Youth Festival organized by USTM Meghalaya, and the first position in Film Criticism at Communika 2023.

Rani Das won the Bronze Medal in Senior Girls U53 kg at 1st Kamrup Inter-International Taekwondo Championship 2020.

Prarthana Bora won the first prize (Taekwondo) in All Assam Bruce Lee Memorial Martial Arts Championship.
