About

Merry Barua Bora has a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and specializes in Indian Writings in English, Literature of the North East  and Literary and Cultural Theory. A former Visiting Faculty at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Guwahati campus), she is also associated with WWF and has translated resource material for WWF under the ESD and EK PRITHVI project (WWF in collaboration with SCERT, Government of Assam). A member of the Editorial Board of Space and Cultural Journal, Dr Bora is particularly interested in Creative Writing and Translation and has published widely in academic volumes and journals. She is also actively involved with Ashadeep, an organization for differently-abled children.

Writings from the North East, Assamese Writings in Translation, Poetry, Literary Theory, Modern Period, The Renaissance, Indian Literature, The Victorian Period, Creative Writing.
